Rogelio “Rogy” Zamora Chávez is a South Texas Director of Photography, Producer, and entrepreneur recognized for his cinematic storytelling and innovative visual style.
As the founder of Rogy Productions, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, he has built a full-service production company serving commercial, corporate, documentary, and narrative filmmaking clients throughout Texas and across the United States.
The company was founded in 2009 in Brownsville, Texas, before relocating to San Antonio following work on the documentary Diabetesville, USA.
Beginning his filmmaking journey through the Media Technology Program at Porter High School in Brownsville, Zamora Chávez developed an early passion for visual storytelling that evolved into a career spanning cinematography, directing, producing, and post-production.
His work combines technical precision with an emphasis on compelling narratives, utilizing high-end digital cinema technology, aerial cinematography, motion graphics, and advanced post-production techniques.
Throughout his career, Zamora Chávez has collaborated with a wide range of national brands, agencies, and broadcasters. His production company has produced content for organizations including HBO, Discovery, PBS, The Weather Channel, SeaWorld, Ford, Volvo, BMW, Audi, Starbucks, McDonald’s, State Farm, Doritos, Cheetos, Lipton, and Raising Cane’s, demonstrating his versatility across commercial advertising, branded content, documentaries, and corporate communications.
In addition to commercial work, Zamora Chávez has contributed to independent film and documentary productions. His cinematography credits include projects such as Under Pressure (2022), My Father’s Keeper (2023), The Sandford Special (2025), and Teotl, reflecting his continued commitment to narrative filmmaking.
